We are getting married and having the bash in the district of Frederiksberg which is still Copenhagen and is only a 10/15 minute walk to the city center. Patrick and I live in Osterbro this is another part of the city and is about a 20 minute walk into town.
AirBnB is great if there is a group of you that want to get a place together and a lot of the appts are right in the city. Don't forget if you don't want to share the appt with a stranger then check your search parameters to say "entire appt/home".

Copenhagen can be a pricey city to stay in. There are some lovely expensive hotels as well as the more budget style which can also be fine.

If you find somewhere where you are thinking of staying but want to know what it is like or where it is in relation to everything then just give us a shout so we can help.
Most of my family and family friends will be staying in: http://www.adina.dk/adina-apartment-hotel-copenhagen/home It's near to where Patrick and I live and is also close to town; the little mermaid and the Royal Palace and Nyhavn etc. If you are looking for a bit of luxury it is a nice place to stay.
Here are a couple less expensive ones that don't come up on hotels.com or the other search sites. They are very close to the venue in Frederiksberg where we are getting married and where the party is:
http://www.allegade10.dk/index.php/minihotel it is in Danish but just google translate and you can figure it out.
These two links are the same but the facebook page has more pictures. This place has shared bathrooms between 2 rooms but if you where with friends you would only be sharing with them.
The dan hostel is in the city centre. It's a hostel so on the cheaper side but it's a pretty good standard.
